lo all i've a very loud boot rattle :ffs: i've took the parcel shelf out ,i've took the spare wheel cover out ,i've took the back surround out that covers the electrics around the lights and with all these out i still get it

so my last option is and i think it is,is the locking mechinism which you but your key in to open the boot. with the boot open i can rattle it about i'm wondering if something has come off? or its loosened somehow all the nuts round are tight but its the actual thing that moves thats loose and making the noise i'm hearing. any ideas pls its doing me head in??? :(

it rattles the most on smooth roads even on the motorway.

lo,think i may have found the problem.after chucking my m8 in the back with shelf out and back surround out he said it def coming from boot.so had another good look round and thought maybe the two black rubbers that are at each side of the boot were'nt doing there job...making the boot rattle in its lock.so tore some foam up and placed where the black rubbers should go when the boot is closed, took it for a spin and no rattle  the rubbers are 14yrs old they gotta get worn down, i suppose they are there to stop the boot rattling in the lock.

fingers crossed this is it, coz it was a right loud rattle!

where u suppose i get some new ones?

thanks rob
