23yr old

2yr NCD

Stuffington - I did exactly the same as you with elephant last year, i kicked up fk about it and they refered it to their pricing matching department who eventualy did price match themselves on the identical quote ( except neighbours address and different name)

If you are adding stuff to your car i reckon toyota's own insurance may work out better. Otherwise try Greenlight insurance. they specialise in faster / modded cars - my bro' got 1k off when he moved to them. he's 23 with a type r and a years driving license....

LOL let me put this into perspective for you - then i guarantee you wont complain anymore about firgures around £700 !

I live in northern Ireland, cars parked in my drive, im 25, got 5years NCB, no points on license and been driving in my own name for like 8 years. On my new CTS as completely standard im paying £1300 a year :crybaby:

All cos I live in northern ireland. And let me put it this way, after getting that quote i snapped it up! That quote is also taking into account me having a friend in the insurance company too :o !

So lets not get too upset over £600 or £700 quotes any more!! Spare a thought for the poor Corolla Tsport enthusiasts over in NI who really reallly have to pay for the fun of driving our favourite hot hatch :D

i also went with toyota insurance mine cost £460 though. protected 65% ncd , hire car,but the best if it's pranged it's repaired at a toyota dealership not a back street boy that your cheap insurance company tells you to go to.

Is it worth kicking up a fuss with elephant to get a better deal?

 WOW I am shocked at the price some of you are paying for insurance I have a Tsport Compressor and am only £350 fully comp through direct line, with only 3 years no claims. I did think this was cheap and checked with them but its right, hey cant complain!!!

My old Tsport was only £280 fully comp before getting the compressor, I must be very lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah build up your ncb or atleast out in for the pass plus  .

i regret now not going for pass plus(couldnt afford it really tho) and 3 years down the line im 21 0ncb 3 points(CU30) and its £2000FC for a Rolla TS :help: , good thing is tho, a 1994 TT supra is the same price so in a years time or so would easily be able to afford insurance on one :P which is strange really because they as quick and impreza's, but imprezas are around £4000FC  .

thats with elephant aswell, they seem to be giving me the cheapest quotes .

EDIT: ive also lowered my annual mileage down to 5000 which helps alot , but dont do that if you plan on doing more despite the good quote's you'll get ;) , im doing is because since getting this job ive got i pretty much only go there n back as its only few hours a nights so i sleep in the day and go out if need to :) .

but being a new driver youd want to drive anywhere all the time for no reason as you do when you first drive and i racked up 2000 miles in the first month  , so best keep it at 10000.
