Warranties

Hello people, well i finally got rid of the Rav and have joined the corolla group now, having just purchased a T-Sport..........very happy indeed with it. I just have a quick question, and that is i bought this corolla privately and the Warranty has just expired, instead of going the Extended warranty with Toyota has anybody had any dealings with or know of anyone who has had dealings with a company called Warranty Direct, the sales pitch looks good but am just a bit dubious about taking one out with them.....many thanks.

Without knowing the cost of the warranty, how many miles you do etc I'd be inclined to just stuck the money you'd have paid into a warranty aside in case something goes wrong.

I don't know anything about Warranty Direct, but a lot of 3rd party warranties have so many exclusions they're effectively worthless and then a betterment clause just as a catchall to stop any significant payouts for anything at all.

But then I don't get the fascination with warranties anyway, modern cars rarely go significantly wrong so they all seem a bit pointless really.

Thanks for the advice........just what our lass said.........and with my experience with toyotas (on my 4th one now) these very rarely go wrong so nuff said......thanks again.
