dont know if anyone has done this yet but ive been switching between the two for the last week and notice a difference in the two ? arent they both 98 ron? anyone notice a difference?

I have been using tesco super unleaded as it's 99 Ron ;) I'm quite lucky as not many tesco sell 99 Ron unleaded.

id recommend getting the best you can, Ultimate is a bit !Removed! if you ask me, doesnt do what it says on the tin. 95RON and you can suffer pre-det, mine does it all the time if i fill up with it

I`ve had to run mine on Texaco super which is 97 i think. Would love to try any of the others but it`s simply not available over here. :ffs:

I'm a Tesco's boy by preferance, but Shell is closer.

Out of the 2 I would have to say I had noticed more performance from Optimax than ultimate. Either way the garages make loads of cash by sticking a stupidly high price on it :censor: .

I put whatever I can get my hands on in the car. I used to use optimac all the time, but the garage then changed to JET!!! .. wtf?!!?!

I do use octane booster etc occasionally, but I'm not running on anywhere near full boost at the moment, so shouldn't be an issue.

as Rob said, get the best RON you can - japanese performance cars are tuned for 100RON (i think) which is available in Japan, so either go for Optimax (98) or tesco (99) or just get some octane booster and add to the fill up ;)

I use optimax as the Shell garage is right next to my uni, there is tesco's 99 ron in town but thats a looooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggg trek :D
