The MR2 one is still there.. but the Yaris one went, I'm sure some members found it usefull.

I'm only asking, cos i'm sure a few more Yaris users will be thinking the same thing.

Fair point i suppose.. but surely thats what moderators are for,, to remove these posts and stop users abusing the section... I'm not argueing over it though, if it is felt best that it was removed, fair enough

hi i removed the eBay thread about a month ago. i tried to tidy the thread up bit it just wasnt workin. plus we were gettin too many things in the pinned section and there was too much spam goin on.

the thread is still on the boards it hasnt been deleted. it just got inpinned. feel free to revive it if you wish and add things.

well its still a mess too much stuff there,

wheels an tyres shud go in relavent technical section, newbies is pointless they just post in the forum normally (ive never read it),

how to's and parts should be merged,

your gt4 championship an wallpaper topics suck as its not very topical as if u can design stuff an dont have a PS2 its a waste of time,

i mean 10 pinned topics and ive found 2 useful (thanks jaxx)

Its the same car, just a newer Mark.... therefore I feel a subforum is wholely inappropriate - as I said, if thats the case, we might aswell have a P1 and P2 subforums as well as all those above and totally seperate folk....

Well i dont think adding a MKII forum is such a bad idea as it is very hardly the same car! Isn't only the 1.3 the EXACT same unit in the car not to mention the rest being completely different. If someone asked about installing a HU, Or anything specific to the MKII it would be good for them to have a subforum so only people who own MKII's or with MKII knowledge answer. P1 and P2 so similar there no need for different sections as you can pretty much mix and match. The MKII is soo different that it does deserve a subforum imo.

Without sounding ... well rude i guess... if the main yaris forum was filled with MKII talk i wouldn't really be that interested. This is for the same reason i dont go into the MR2 sections etc as im not interested in that car. The P1 and P2 are so similar there is no need for it as there are just revisions of the same model. The MKI and MKII share little part for part.

But as has already been said, other forums on TOC dont have subforums for different Marks....

And hey, if you dont want to read the Mk2 talk, well you dont have to - future Mk2 owners have a right to feel like part of this Yaris community - not thrown into a subforum just because you dont want to mingle with them!

fair reply! i just meant it would be easier for topical talk like the tsport section. always general to mingle? How about a MKII section for just specific question for MKII owners just to make there lives easier. That way they can still chat with other yaris owners but when they want to know about fitting a HU they can go right to the place where they will find the answers? i suppose will be a maze of forums if we were to be too pedantic. Something we learn to live with :P Just i can imagine asking every person who asks a questions what MK it is if they dont state.

I do see your POV mate with regards to mods, but I just dont think that seperating folk is the way to help - we can all learn new things from the Mk2's and their owners, who would bring a lot to the forums - its bad enough having a T-Sport only subforum (most people know my views on that! lol)

Yeah i actually quite like that as the Tsport forum seems to be more performance/engine related which is one of my key interests (and the 1.5 sportier engine is specific to the Tsport obv) so its quite nice to be able to talk about performance related questions. The Tsport people more then definately still mingle but when they have a Tsport specific question they ask in Tsport section. If your interested im sure they wont mind you having a look in em :P You make it sound like they are behind a wall in the subforum! :P just one click away! But yeah thanks for that adult (ey up) discussion (breath of fresh air from the usual arguing when people dont agree) :P

But yeah you deffo opened up my eyes to the idea of mixing with the MKII as i suppose people like are sparkies and tyre blokeys would still be of use to MKII owners! :D

the celica forum does not have a seperate forum for each GEN and they get by just fine. so i cant really see the point in having a MKii Yaris Subforum. the eBay thread is now back in the pinned section thanks to jaxx. now please get this thread back on topic rather than bicker about it and go onto somethin completely different.
