Boxed Thread

What's a boxed thread please?

It's an engineering thread. Profile of most threads is V shaped if you look closely at each thread and the 'valley' between them. A boxed thread has a square profile - each thread is very narrow and tall.

A boxed thread will be much more accurate and tighter fitting than a 'standard' thread. What's the context?

we have a special forum calledboxed threads - which only moderators can see.

when a post is removed - it is not deleted, it is moved to the boxed threads forum, so it ca be reviewed if need be.
