Unfortunately, as far as I'm aware, it's not something you can polish out. The Mr T near me refurbs alloys for £60 each which isn't too bad.

Oh, by the way - you should've run it over. Institute of Advance Motorists (IAM) and all Police/Advanced drivers will always instruct you not to swerve to avoid a small animal, given that swerving potentially unsettles the car and could prove more dangerous (or even fatal) to yourself or other road users. Sounds heartless :crybaby: , but a pretty good thing to bear in mind!!!

i know how you feel.

my other half has been having driving lessons in my cts for a couple of mths, and last week she drove too close to the curb and grazed about a 1/4 of the rim diameter on my new 17" wheels.

i saw Edd China on the telly rub a set of wheels with sandpaper to smooth down the curb damage and touched up with alloy wheel paint  worth a try. or just put your spare wheel on.

 bert

the only problem with that fab idea is the spare does not match , major issue for me but toyota say 17 wont fit so its a standard t sport wheel it really isnt terrible i dont feel suicidal anymore just going over the park now squirrell hunting with my trusty 12 bore bye

The grey squirrel can be shot on sight (or run over) as it's classed as a pest..... the red ones however are protected and you can be prosecuted if you do any harm to them.....

Hmmm a good advertisement for grey paint if you ask me. Any animal respnsible for car damage should indeed catch a few ounces of buckshot..
