Has anybody seen any good looking wind deflector, PERIOD!!!!

As much as they are a good idea, they look PANTS on a car

You mainly find them on like older big 4x4 vehicles (Shoguns)

yeah, OCTIMEX on eBay. i just got some for my t sport this week, they are a grey/black tint and look mint with my rear window tints and matching tinted sunstrip. they cost £29 inc delivery. you can also spray them to match your paintwork if you wish. they are made by HEKO in poland and are really good quality and a doddle to fit. he sells 3dr and 5dr sizes for the corolla 02>... will post some pics tomorrow.

Personally, I prefer bert.tsport 's wind deflector. I don't like the ones which is too bulky. I want to keep my car as streamline as possible but with the benefits of having the wind deflector i.e. can open windows in rainy days etc...

My wind deflector just arrived from the OCTIMEX company today. But it doesn't fit my corolla!!??

I think i have mentioned the model and the year... but the wind deflector's curly front bit doesn't fit?? Could anyone tell me why? Am i fitting it wrongly?

More details:

hi,

maybe you ordered the wrong ones? anyway, fitting...

wind both front windows down, clean the rubber seal of any dirt/grease where the window fits in at the top, remove the yellow backing on the sticky pads on wind deflectors, push one end of the deflectors flange part into rubber window seal (by the wing mirror) , then bend the deflector and slot in the other end into the opposite end of window seal leaving the middle part of deflector out of the seal.. then feed the middle bit into the seal making sure not to pinch/trap the seal. wind up window and leave shut for a bit to make sure the sticky pads get a fix. note: the deflector fits in the seal and does not stick to the bodywork...

hope this helps, you can practice without removing sticky pad backing, the window will hold them in place on its own. the whole job should take no longer than 10mins to do... its really easy, as long as you have the correct parts for your car..

Thx mate!! very helpful, i thought i need to stick it on the body :) It fits alright, but one of the deflector leaks air.... I fitted it on and now, when i drive above 60mph, i hear a slight wind noise... how can i fix it?

Could the "slot in" type of wind deflector damage the electric windows? The reason why i am saying this is... the windows seems to be less smooth than before after i have fitted the deflector?

im not sure? mine seem ok... i can hear the wind blowing over them but only 70+ on the M way. not too bad though. Not sure about the electric window though? my window mechanism wore out before i had these fitted anyway... i have a new mechanism on drivers side due to the window rocking and knocking. take the deflectors out and get your windows checked by toyota before fitting them if you are worried. just remember to remove the middle of the deflectors before removing the ends

Thx bert!

I will have it checked. Do you know whether the deflector will void the warantee? I have installed the passenger's one which seems perfect. I don't wanna take that out... So, i will take it to toyota with only one deflector. Do you think it gives them excuse not to have it fixed?

yeah, probabally a good idea to remove them incase they get funny saying they are not genuine toyota parts or something... its easy enough to put them back on again
