I was just about to ask about your sparks etc .. then I saw the d4d

Erm, lack of power, isn't that just oil burners in general? :)

Sorry, not a clue.

Diesel's aren't meant to be bunned... they have excellent low down torque (from 1500rpm) but this runs out fairly early, hence why they rev less than petrols.

Since it's a turbo, and the majority of the torque or 'driving power' is lower in the rev range, it's best to drive your car in it's optimum band of power, unlike a petrol which has a smooth, linear power delivery, a diesel has a lazy, big-lump, early shove kind of performance band, which is excellent for motorway and town driving, but for sports/tarck driving, it's not the best!

So, what you're experiencing is a car that's out of it's power range and ready for it's gearchange! Also, diesels, especially small diesels, don't use 1st gear for much other than crawling... once into 2nd they behave better.

Why?.......................That wastes the server space.....................I notice that you did not JUST change your name but REJOINED with a different name

Welcome to TOC.....................but make your mind up which name you intend to use, or it will get confusing
