so you have fuel, and you have spark (all four plugs?) .. is it coughing?, you say it's turning over, just on the starter yeah?

Does the ECU light stay on when you turn the key to IGN? .. there may be an ECU fault.

Have you checked the dizzy etc?

How fast is it turning over? Faster than normal? Have you checked the cambelt?

when you say it has fuelis it getting to the fuel rail?

there is a fuel pump resistor that has been known to fail

it lives under the Battery tray. Two finned blocks. Can`t remember which is the fuel pump one. But it`ll be warm if it`s working. But if you`ve got presurized fuel at the rail it should be ok.

Just a random thought... You haven`t had a hose pop off anywhere?

Might be worth doing an ECU reset, Probably wont achieve anything but no harm trying. Just disconnect the Battery or remove the EFI fuse from the fuse box for a few minutes. Press the brake pedal to get rid of any stored charge in the electrical system then reconnect it. Fingers crossed.

OK. Have you checked the ignition timing? Is it possible it could have slipped?

Hi Tall Guy,

did you get your GT4 started in the end, it sounds like my GT4 has the same problem.

it has a spark at all the plugs, fuel pressure at the rail and the timing is correct!

please let me know what it was if you got to the bottom of it, car is doing my head in!.

hi m8 yea i got her started in the end but i havent a clue what happernd.

iwas getting saprk fuel etc but nothing happernd,

any ways all that i dont is that i took all the plugs out took off the starter pack and ingiter pack checked all connections got the hump with the car and left it for a day then had another go to get it running, put everything back togethter and it started 1st time,

so havent a clue really what it was but the only thing i could think of is that a guy i spoke to ages ago said that some times the ecu goes a bit mentle and over fuelled the car and it flooded. so by leaving all the plugs out might have dried up all the excess fuel and moisture from the engine,,

give that a go m8, take off the intercooler aswell and check all air connections/ boost pipes/ starter pack cables, ingiter etc thing back together reset the ecu by discconting the Battery for 30 secs press the brake pedal to discharge any static<<<(someone told me about that) reconnect Battery and try and start it m8,

let me know m8

rob

when u put every
