hello all . had a near miss this morning while exiting my drive the steering when tight like it had no power assistance for a few seconds thus causing me to nearly smashing into a new bmw parked across the street. it only did it for a few seconds and as been ok since then. could this be the start of a major problem or am i worrying about nothing.

many thanks rick

Morning Rick. Possibly moisture on the belt, Stops the pump pulley spinning momentarily. Check the tension and condition of the belt. There was a similar thread a short while ago. Obviously check the fluid level as well.

I used to get my tyres from solo tyres down East street, by Shaw`s. But he`s closed down now. Local competition unfortunately proved too much. He was a helpful bloke though.

You might try the place up by butterfly world, can`t think of the name at the mo.

mytyres.co.uk have got the size you want about £30 odd a piece. But you`d have to find someone to fit & balance them. Dale up at DRS will fit em cheapish.

i think that chap down solo tyres has been closed for a while i went down there a few weeks ago as i had a few tyres for the omega from him before. shame really because he was one of the cheapest places round here.

Try sticking a new belt on. Always handy to have a spare anyway.
