Does the yaris radio have a security code? ive replaced the faulty one with a replacemant from the scrap and all buttons n display work ok,ive tried connecting the old unit (same typeexcept for distortion to sound)

and now that doesnt work either.

I don't think it has, I took my old one out and sold it and no one asked for a code.

could be another faulty one especially if you had it from a scrapyard

Yeah i'd go for dodgy connection (maybe the points on the scrap radio need cleaning with a bit of contact cleaner / nail file?) a fuse or another faulty headunit!
