does anyone know if u can take off air conditioning pump on celica

without damaging normal,heating/cooling system.it was disconnected

when i bought it so id say there is no gas left.i would like to take it

off as it draggs power.

Yep. I took all of mine out. Compressor, Rad, Pipework, Wiring,Cooling unit. All the switches and valves. The only thing thats left on the car is the dash switch. You`ll be surprised how heavy that lot is. Getting on for 35 kgs.

If you remove the cooling unit matrix from inside the car it actually makes the normal fan/heater more efficient because the air only has to go through one matrix instead of two.

The only drawback is that the celica is a hot car, A lot of window area.for little cabin space so you`ll suffer in the summer especially if there`s no sunroof fitted.

hey when you took out your air con how did u manage the brackets. also do u know where i can download service manual.
