Black Gt-four In Northumberland

Two things really...

First of all, saw a lovely GT-Four in Widdrington Station this morning, in Northumberland, Black with big Silver wheels, looked lush, does it belong to anyone on here?

Second point, not related.. when I looked at getting a toyota, I really liked the sense of community on this site, and I can't find that at all for Jaguars, the typical owner being slightly more mature lol.

Does anyone on here mind if I stick around as a novelty member? I still love toyotas, dreamt of a supra for years, but forget insurance till I'm 21, and you've all got some great cars. You might even be able to answer some of my less-model specific daft mechanical questions now and then. Fully understand that it is indeed a toyota club though, so if anyone has any objections no bother.

Cheers

J/K - It's a free world - drive what you want but I'm sure you'll end up with a Toyota one day

Lol ok. Well..... I really wouldnt mind a supra, love the curves, or a MR2, except I dont like the lack of space. I think at the minute, thats why I've got the jag. I'm only 19 so it's safe to say its different from what my friends are driving, and I can easily get 4 of us in for a good night out. Not great on the old gas though.

besides, it could be worse, my mates looking at a 1985 Mercedes E-Class. I like unusual cars, so the supra's gorgeous, and I've got a big weakness for St205's. Can't get insured on a Supra till I'm 21 though :'(

As I said - I was just kidding

The insurance is expensive for me on a Supra - I did look at one earlier this year.

I've recently taken to a hobby in off-roading though, so my next car will probably need to be capable of towing a trailer with an off-roader on it! So I'm probably looking at a Range Rover or Disco - Insurance is high on them as well - it's basically as much as a GT4 or Supra :(

ahhhhhhhhhh. I would love a Range Rover. P38 on about a P reg, 4.6HSE. Went to look at a couple before I decided I couldnt justify getting 5 grand finance for a car that had 90,000 miles+, as too much could go wrong before I'd paid it off. So I bought my car for the princely sum of £700 after some heavy bartering lol.

One of my mates is big into off roading, but with the 4x4! He's got a really nice defender 90 with a 4" lift kit and massive wheels. Very nice piece of kit. Have you tried elephant? I got quoted £711 for 12 months on a 2.5DT Range Rover on an N reg, so a 1996 car. Not exactly top of the range, but better on the gas, and a good load lugger. One thing I found lowered my premium by miles was to put my girlfriend on as an extra driver. Presumably they think shes a safer driver.

Only had a quick look for insurance and it was coming back at about £750 Fully Comp for an S plate Disco Td5 2.5TD . A P reg GT4 comes back at about £738 Fully Comp.

Our Off Roader is a bit more of a classic, it's a 1970 Series 2A overall it's 5" higher than standard and 7" higher than it was before on it's tired springs! It's also 4" Wider Wheelbase. It's nothing really special - just something to get us into offroading. Tax is free and classic insurance is about £200 / year

Putting my wife on my insurance policies gets them down by about £100
