just a few questons

would the gearbox in my g6r link up with a 4age engine and if it did could it handle the extra power?

would i need to change the driveshafts?

would it go straight in or would i have to make up new mounts?

if i bought a complete engine with all ancilaries from fensport(found 3/4 of the way down this page http://www.fensport.co.uk/products.htm) is there anything else i would need?

cheers

ross

if you can get the mounts for a 4A-FE then it SHOULD bolt straight in. the G6R box can be used with the 4A but not sure what work is needed

Are you talking 4age 16v or 20v or 4agze? that link takes me to the fensport site thats it?

The gearbox "should" fit on a 4age 16v. The 20v version has a 6 speed with the black top engine. I have heard that this gearbox is the same as the 4afe one.

The gearbox would not work with a 4agze as it would not be able to deal with the power.

Im putting in a 4AGE 16V fully rebuilt with upgraded or new parts and from the research I've done the gearbox should be fine, dont know about the engine mounts, thats something I'm still looking into, let us know how you get on.

as the both use the 4A block, the should bolt straigt on. the only diference between the 4a-fe and the ge is the head. if your keeping your gearbox then the fdriveshafts, and engine mounts on it will still fit...............as for wiring get a copy of both engines wiring diagrams, a large pot of coffee and start working it out! shouldnt be that many differences but you never know
