Carina E Heated Rear Screen

I have a Carina E 1.8 GS Estate with a non functioning rear screen heater. Have checked the fuse and it's OK. The Relay clicks when you turn the switch on and off. It appears one of the elements is heating up very slightly, but nothing else from it, which seems really odd!?!

Any ideas?

For a start it would pay to post this in the Toyota Family section as this is where most of the Carina E owners hang out. This is the forum for people carriers.

I'd start by checking that you have the correct voltage at the two connection points on the window itself. You should be looking at 12V or more. If you have less, then there is most likely a cable going down or an earth fault. Or even the relay not working correctly.

Start with the voltage, and report back.
