The switch to the left of the steering column activates the system. The red LED in the gauge pod shows when the system is actually running.

 keeps getting better n better that car - do you expect a major difference with this kit on ??

Yes. The last time the car ran on the road for anything other than the odd sunday run.... (Seems like years ago.) It had the top mount I/C fitted and ocasionaly running 1.1BAR boost, Which i had to turn down to 0.9 because of the amount of detonation.

So long story short. Now got the FMIC fitted and the WI so i`ll wind the boost back up to 1.1 and see what happens. I think i`ll have to do something about the fueling tho. Uprated walbro or supra fuel pump and maybe 550cc injectors.

And if all that works it`ll be 1.3 BAR. Anything more and i think i`ll have to look at forged internals and engine management.

Sooo disappointed, I was expecting Womens Institute pics.

When was the last time you actually drove this car?

Not sure when the rev2 3s-gte ECU runs out of fuel map?? You might need to consider an E-Manage and some larger injectors for 1.3 bar.

Jam making lessons are next week Mike.

Last time was when i fitted the FMIC in october.

I think the 440 injectors run out of puff at 1.2 bar. Not 100% on that. But i`m sure i read somewhere that 550`s and uprated pump will sustain 1.3. Anything after that and it`s something like an e-manage jobbie.

mike, remember the rev2 3S-GTE uses a AFM for fueling, so pressure is all dependant on turbo, if it's the standard turbo then like daktari says about 1.2 bar.

550's and an uprated pump would sustain a bit more than 1.3 bar (standard tubby) it's just that is when the fuel MAP runs out on the rev3 3S-GTE engine so people always go after market engine management,

if your fitting bigger injectors then i would at the very least get an e-manage as the standard management can't cope with different injectors even tho it is self learning it aint that good

the e-manage is surprisingly more affordable than ever now after the release of the e-manage ultimate, i think the best place to get it from is still greenline in jap land, even if you get stung by customs it's still cheaper B)

Daktari, very tidy install  if you ever decide to re-do the pipe work on it i would try and get the water injection closer to the throttle body to get full effectiveness from it
