you paid 850.00 for 17" Team dynamics without tyres, that is EXTEMELY Expensive!!

With them being 2nd hand they are worth not a penny more then 350.00 and that would be generous a price

and youd be lucky to get that, try eBay, ive seen them go for -300.00 twice in black with tyres and MINT condition.

You can get them for 579.99 with tyres BRAND NEW Team Dynamics pro Race 1.2 579.99 all in!!

Sorry mate.

They do two different specs of the Pro-Race series wheels, these are the "Motorsport" version, its not suprising they were £850 without tyres

yeah but as you can see that site is the most expensive site on the net, you would struggle to find a price like that!

Look at www.streetracers.co.uk and it was just an average price, the first site i found on the search.

but the pro-race 5 spoke look PHATTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gti racing, can you please think before you post. I said they cost £850 new without tyres as they did. As pointed out by Jones there are two different versions. These are very expensive wheels, and have to be custom made. They don't stock them in the shops. £350 is madness, as anyone will tell you. The lowest I will go is £550 but thats the limit.

There isn't a single mark on them, and the tyres have only 850 miles on them. You really wont find a better quality or cheaper set of 17's for the price with tyres. If you had thought a little then they may have been sold by now, anyway if anyone is interested please dont hesitate to ask,

Thanks,

Toby

what is the difference between the link you have shown and the link i have shown, they both have 12 spokes and have the same centre styling and are even called the same, pro race 1.2, there is NO difference at all, just that 1 place is a rip off and should be Burned down and the other is reasonable,

What is the difference? oh and you even get FREE locking nuts and bolts with my link :D

its clear as day that theyre the same, and why would you sell your rims and tyres at a loss of £500 within 850miles??? (and thats considering that you didnt buy your tyres from that shop too or wed be looking at 500 for tyres easily.

dont take it the wrong way mate, nothing personal, but if your price was "a bit dear" ok, but its EXTREMELY EXTORCIONATE and i cant watch sum1 get RIPPPPPPPPPPPED

i apologise once again,

I give up. You are very rude Im afraid. There are two types of wheel. One you can buy in Halfords and one you cant. These are ultra light racing wheels. They use these wheels in race series including the British and World Touring Car championships - the exact same set I have. There light weight and very strong

I have spoken to demon tweeks, here is the link to the wheel, these are 15inch without tyres and are just under £130 per wheel for 15's. So thats £520 for 15inch same wheel, without tyres.

http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/Pro...RIM5K2880505100

And these are 17's with tyres and basically brand new and are £550, so £30 more for 17's with tyres.

17's with tyres delivered form Demon Tweekes are £742.86.

The wheels did cost us £850 without tyres as they were just released, ok now there a little cheaper but as you can see there not cheap wheels. The wheels you have posted mate are the rubbish version. They do a street wheel and motorsport wheel. These are 7.3 kg each mate. There off a corolla with a 20v silver top blitz turboed engine, do you really think we would have skimpped with quality lol! Were only changing as we need drag wheels....

That is correct, I used to work for Halfords and the wheels that we ordered in off of the supplier were standard alloy wheels, nothing special, retail at £650 for 17's with tyres. They then do the BTCC Range, specially machined using different metals. which as "Toby" specified are not cheap, they are as he said £850 without tyres.

Ok Fair enough, and end of the day when your selling them if you show your reciept to show that theyre the expensive version then hopefully youll get your asking of £550, so i apologise if im wrong, but dont all pro race wheels weigh next to nothing, not just the custom made ones as thats what pro race is all about being a light weight, high quality rim i thought

but good luck selling them and if i win the lotto you know who ill be pm-ing to buy some Team Dynamics alloys :D

does anybody know whether these wheels are more lightweight than OZ superturismo? (or another alloys from OZ racing?)

I'm not able to find these info regarding the wight for comparsion...

1,000,000 times lighter then OZ super T, SuperT's are HEAVEY!!!! i saw some Superleggera 17" so i thought lets see if its as light as its bigged up as and it was so light that i nearly flung it and when i tried to lift the SuperT it felt almost twice as heavey and i had to adjust my strength to lift it!!!!

And any Team dynamics pro race range alloys will be lighter then most of the OZ range apart from superleggera and a couple others.

most oz's weigh TONS!! for eg the oz titan weighs about 25kgs on a 16" with a 195/45/16, which is seriously guna slow you down!!! i saw them on eBay and got the person to weigh it for shipping purposes and i nearly fainted when i heard the weight!!!

Hey mate, no need to say that, ive got the "Rubbish" version on my Corolla :P

:D :D :D naaaah bro, theyre not rubbish at all, it depends what your going for, if you want a lightweight wheel to help you in acceleration then the super T wouldnt be your best ally, where as if your going for looks then most lightweight rims look RUBBISH, theyre not striking at all like the normal rims

I used to like nothing more then OZ super T at 1 time, but it depends on what you want from a rim and he was asking about weight, and in that aspect the facts speak for themselves :-) and superT is a heavey rim compared to what you can get nowadays.

I apologise for my wording.

Finally! Thank you  Yeah there custom made, you have to wait a long time for a set. Oh I didn't mean the other ones were rubbish :) Just that they were the cheaper ones compared with the set we have for sale. £550 is the best we can do, with £25 uk delivery. Thanks all Toby

Heres a picture with them on the Corolla. I will take better pictures with a camera. Cheers Toby

Can someone clear all this mess up.

Which are the 'professional BTCC' wheels?

Which alloys are the 'cheaper' street version?

One has 'Motorsport' the other has Pro Race(?) or both have Motorsport stamped on the rims?

I'm only asking as I have what I believe to be 'Pro Race 1.2's , but I have Motorsport stamped on them.

These were bought from Halfords, but supplied by Rimstock - had to wait nearly 4 weeks for them as they had to be 'built' as Rimstock had No stock ( 15s). Only cost €520 with tyres...

You will have the cheaper street wheels, i got mine from Halfords too, and also had to wait for a couple of weeks for delivery, do yours look something like this?

Zacly the same

Why are they advertised as 'BTCC winning alloys' if they are 'street versions' seems a bit misleading!
