Carina E Remote Fobs

My parents have a N reg Carina E . They have two remote keyfobs which are seperate to the keys. There is just lock/unlock buttons. One of the fobs after being dropped had dislodged the Battery. It now still lights up but won't work the doors. The other is still ok but they now don't have a spare and opening with just door key doesn't switch alarm off. Inside the fob is a sticker telling you, you only have ten minutes to change the Battery so it looks like its lost some code info. Can it be reprogrammed/re-enabled by me or is it a garage job. Thanks for any help

if i remember correctly keep both buttons pressed for 10 seconds standing by car and that should reset it
