Just found this. Mucho relieved. I would have done more research but there was no time. :)

Supra Twin Turbo 550cc Injector

ITEM # U 550cc MK4

Used Supra TT injectors are the most affordable way to upgrade your fuel system to support more horsepower. The injectors drop into your car with no modifications necessary.

The price is for one injector.

Your Price $60.00

they are a straight swap but the fuel rail is a little restrictive and no. 4 could run lean at higher fuel demands.

remember also that you'll need some kind of fuel control as the standard management wont cope.

Yup yup. Got my shopping list ready. Walbro 255 pump. Uprated FPR and a decent priced e-manage or similar. Those ones from green thingy work out at £150 + shipping. Good price. But it`ll have to wait for a mo. :crybaby:

Not sure what to do about the fuel rail though.

lol not so cheap, there is another company that makes them, i'll post up if i remember who it was, but i think they are roughly the same price.

another piece of advice before you think of boring out your standard one.... DON'T!!!... they are too thin and it would lead to a weak spot in a critical area of the engine.

if you do get one made up then give me a shout, could do with one too ;)

Don`t suppose a 205 one would fit? Or be adapted? Or be any better?

No luck involved. www.auctionstealer.com

I used to get a real buzz from sniping, but eBay ruined it with really random page loading meaning you couldn't get a pattern going. Now I just win!

'cept the idiot that is selling it has refused to complete the deal as he didn't get enough :crybaby:

Emanage ultimate is the way to go. ;)

Not sure where the weak link is in the fuel system (is it the regulator or rail itself?). Aftermarket FPRs are often crappy but I think aeromotive ones are quite good. Try and retain the standard one if poss though.

It might be possible to plumb a second feed into the existing fuel rail at the opposite end to the existing one (can't remember what the arrangement is at the moment).

It would also be prudent to get the injectors cleaned and flow tested to make sure they are all within acceptable limits.

The dual feed fuel rail is possibly the way to go. it utilises the current FPRs location to feed 2 injectors from either end. The fuel return has to use the 5th injector port. Which means no cold start.

Unfortunately it appears that a different (Twin port) FPR has to be used, Aeromotive 13109 adjustable fuel pressure regulator fits the bill.

And of course an EMS system that will enable a rich start up mixture is needed. I don`t know if the e-manage can do this.

Still investigating the options. :D

the e-manage can't do that for you i'm afraid, not totally sure about hte ultimate but i doubt that will either. if your going to be spending money on a fuel pressure regulator then i'd save the money and buy a wolfkratz rail. FPR's are a cheap and often nasty way to save buying bigger injectors, IIRC for every bar of fuel pressure you raise the fuel pressure you get as much fuel injected as you would at standard presure on the next size up of injectors i.e. 440's from st185 + 1bar extra pressure would ive you the same fuel input as 550's from a ST205, not mentioning the fact that your injectors will burn out quickly due to the higher pressures.

the weak link in the standard st185 fuel system is the fuel rail itself, the pressure drops beyond the acceptable levels by the time it has passed thru the other end of the fuel rail, this explains the destruction of piston number 4 in alot of 'tuned' engines.

the duel feed standard rail is a possibility however it has been tried, tested and rejected on the mr2 forums. been a while since i've looked up any info on it so cant remember why
