Iv read alot of the posts on speaker upgrades and they all seem to recommend coaxials or tweeters in the dash, but my yaris has already had a pair of tweeters fitted in the dash, so does anyone weather two ways or coaxials would be better in replace ment of the dash Speakers???

were the tweeters in the dash or the A pillars? If your saying you only had tweeters there and other speaker in door then you could buy a set of components again and put tweeters in the dash and then the main speaker in doors. If you want to replace the dash with a normal speaker you want coaxials there. Totally up to what you want really! And overall sound quality you want against price.

Just put 10cm Coaxials in the dash. Two sets of tweeters side by-side would sound awful.

But wouldn't he get components in the dash to go with tweeters in the pillars if they are toyota ones he is upgrading and then could go normal speaker or coaxials in doors to get all sounds from different areas proper and crisp! Just a though but your the expert!

They could get components for the dash, but the toyota tweeters aren't too bad from other cars i've heard, so it may be a waste of money. There's no point replacing things for replacing things sake! Coaxials are cheaper and will offer a better balance coupled with the additional tweeters.

Aren't I the lucky one?!?!

The tweeters on the coaxials won't have much effect I don't think, but, if they do... whip components in there! At the end of the day, it's up to the owner of the car! Everybody hears things differently and what sounds good to one, sounds crap to another!
