Anyone Know Anything About Toyotas New 4.6 V8?

I've read up about the new LS460 thats been shown at the auto show in america and that it uses Toyotas new 4.6 v8 engine.

Anyone know the model of this engine? Specification?

So far we have had -

1UZFE - 4.0 32V V8

2UZFE - 4.7 32V V8

3UZFE - 4.3 32V V8

4UZFE - 4.5 32V V8

You would assume this new engine is the 5UZFE but i cannot find any details anywhere...

Also does anyone know the point of the Lexus ES in America?

I mean the IS is competition for the BMW 3 Series and Merc C-Class, the GS is the rival of the 5 Series and the E Class. The LS is the rival of the 7 Series and the S Class....

So whats with the ES? Seems to be in between the IS and the GS......what for?

Is it just me or is there no market there?

The ES is a direct competitor for the Acura version of the accord and Merc C ;)

You need to remember, they dont offer the 200 in the US, only the IS300 and IS350... so it competes directly with the 325/330.. whereas the ES is a touch bigger, a touch slower, and really goes after the Merc/Infiniti type market...

i think the development budget was $4.30
