what kind of mileage do you get from your mr2, and is it turbo?

Not had mine long enough for a proper trial, but it looks like im averaging around 30mpg on a mkII rev1 N/A

Was getting about 37 on my 1990 SW20(UK) GT.

Now getting about 34 on a 2000 SW20(UK) GT-TBar.

However - more horses seems to equal slower accel - cant understand :(

I'm swapping a 3SGTE into my Tercel and just trying to get an idea of how economy will change along with the big boost in performance. I like to take long road trips on occasion.

Worked mine out at 28mpg. Mostly round town with heavy foot but some runs aswell........

But, my last car (series one rs turbo) got around 18mpg i think so its not all bad.......

Further to my MR2 figures:

I'm getting 27mpg (ultra urban) and 34 mpg (motorway at 70 mph - whoaaa-girl) from my 95 GT-Four (standard UK spec). Hopefully the MR2 turbo should do better than that (they won't have the extra weight to cart around).

Assuming the Tercel is two wheel drive, the fuel economy should be about 30.

Oh, did I mention - keep it on the boost and watch that fuel tank empty.

Let us known how things work out with the tercel (any piccys).
