These: Oz Super Turismo 17s

on a Black G7...

I can't decide if its a good move or not, and I am struggling to find any pics of Black / Dark G7s with these wheels...

I think you should go for 5 spokes as like Jay I think there a bit plain. If your going to spend good money you want people to stop and take note.

Do you want some help?? Give me a prices and tyre size and I will find some examples. Not got much work to do but have to stay until 5pm to keep an eye on my naughty little workers!

If you like multispokes then take a look at TSW Pace alloys (quite cheap and have chunky spokes) I agree multispokes in general are a little more subtle (i would not say they are plain) but as people have said the oz ones are a little too common, if I was going to buy oz ones I would probably go for the superlegras (or however they are spelt), but it would be one of the best wheel choices when you come to sell the car on as noone dislikes multispoke alloys! Also they don't look too rude boy ether, I love mine although cleaning them takes a while! Each to their own I suppose.

Yeah, be interested to see what you come up with...

Ideally I'd like to spend about £750 for wheels and tyres - Toyo T1-S / R (my current pirelli's are a bit knackered). I'm after 17x7's with 215/45 (or maybe 40), maybe 18s but not sure as I don't want the harsh ride of 35mm profile. Nothing in Chrome, nothing in black. Everything else is fair game...

I'm a really picky bugger as well, so good luck!

I agree 100%, certain multispokes are very nice and they dont offend(sy's are a perfect example). I just think that sometimes its nice to go for something a bit different. Like sy said you dont want to look like a rude boy but in the same respect you dont want it to look like every other example and IMHO multi spokes on Celicas is a common site.

Whats about Venoms!!!!! :lol::thumbsup:

The last few alloys I've been looking at have been 7 and 9 spoke, as I have been quite taken by those, but I've run out of options of anything I like - what with the 3 types I tried to buy have all been recently discontinued, and no longer available in my size.

I've always liked Multi-spoke, but there's something inside of me that's saying it won't work on the G7, and I agree that it is diffuclt to find a truely nice set (hence not being sure about the OZ)...

Anyways, I'm interested to see what people suggest!

I have seen loads of 7gens with multispokes but they have been huge alloys, think one guy on here has a red celica with 18 or 19's and they are the multispoke type, I thought they look great on the 7th gen but like I said before it is all down to what you like. Don't let anyone sway your oppinion. I just went down to my local large wheel place and got them to offer up some alternatives against the car to pick the best one and then once I had my short list, I used adobe photoshop to super impose the alloy on the car. Is stupidly easy to do on photoshop.

Below is the photoshop image i created which made me buy the tsw pace alloys:

If you don't know how to do it or you don't have photoshop just send me a decent quality picture from the side profile of both the car and the wheel and I will try and put together something for you.

Sy - Have you had a go at shortening your car. A few people on the vauxhall site I am a member of did it and makes them look cool as.

Just got Photoshop CS2 and haven't really had much of a try on it yet so may have a play tonight. Only problem is I have a crappy digital camera so images of my car are rather crap quality! Have you got a link to the shortened car images?

Yeah, now I've been looking at these a bit as well, but I have a bit of a concern with them... How far out do the spokes stick from the rim? Am just a bit worried that (heaven forbid) if I were to catch a curb or something with them, how much of the alloy will I damage? If I was to just scuff the rim a little, I can live with it, if I was to put nice big scrapes down the spokes I'd get well ****** off with myself...

Suppose if it is big kerb you could catch the spokes right enough

The front left came pre kerbed, just on the rim though and not too bad

Wow I can believe how much difference there is in your car with the change in body kit. Did you lower it when you put the other kit on it?
