Registration Plate Transfer

Hi

Can anyone help me on this one?

If I sell the number plate that was on the car when I got it does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about this? Any best sites?

Also do you get the original plate back or do you have to get a brand new one? Approx cost for changing back to a normal plate?

£80 transfer fee from dvla. I put private plates on my rav, but not really sure on how to transfer back. Try the dvla reg site

If you own both cars phone local taxation office and ask for cherished transfers, they will send you forms, if you intend buying new car soon you can opt for a retention certificate. This means you get a no. for present car(usually the original) they also send new tax disc and if applicable your mot is altered and franked.

With retention certificate you can then allocate no to car of choice or sell it. Think this costs £20 extra £100 in total.
