can you do an induction like this? i thought u have to have a crossover pipe?

Yup! This is how the filter fits onto the 1ltr engine. 1.3 and t-sport are set up different

Isn't the induction kit like that on a 1.3 and tsport and the pipe over the top on the 1litre i thought (as the Greddy is a pipe over the top for the 1l!

That Pipercross one just has a tube knocked off the 1.0l standard airbox and then it's clipped on the end. The Greddy one involves taking the whole thing off (about four screws) then clip the Greddy one on. Dunno if thats what you meant!

what is the point of that!!!!!!! it's got the air filter on after the standard filter in the box? WTF????

i suppose that you take the standard air filter out then?

yeah but you're still letting all the air go through all the other ducting and rattling round a big empty box! No comparison to a straight, direct, pipe.
