Window Mechanism!

as some folks may know a common fault of the 2 are window mechanisms destroying themselves

more specifically the mounting lugs eventually sucomb to the pressure of the window going up and down over and over again until they snap

i noticed last summer my window looked to be sitting a bit odd and didnt line up right, but with it being framless i just tried adjusting all the bolts inside the door to get a better fit. it helped a little but not perfect

with the recent strip down, ive been into the door and found 2 lugs are completely sheared away and 1 is half way through! so its nackered basically

so a quick look round t'internet i found fensport have them up for £25 second hand, so a quick email later returns they havnt got none, but do keep a stock of brand new OEM mechanisms at £44 + VAT!

well and truely sold! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

luckily it wasnt the motor as theyre 130 quid a piece :!Removed!:

***** they are good prices :eek:

My last one cost me £65 seconhand and i had to reweld 2 of the lugs to make sure they didnt break any further.

3 of the 4 lugs had sheared on my original one too.

its a little plastic thingy with a 'horn' (if you will) on it

it rests up against that felt pad at the top of the door when the window is fully upright and holds it steady, on eof mine had snapped, so when fully up the window twists and leans in

this bit
