I really, really hope you didnt pay too much for your 15 bhp module...

what you have actually bought is a 0.1p resistor in a box, with some wires attached.

The primary purpose of the resistor is to be attached to the temprature sensor, to fool it into thinking the car is permamently running cold...

In other words, to make your car run as if your driving around with a manual choke out...

Anyone that has owned a car with a manual choke will know, although it makes your car feel 'more responsive', that is simply because it overfuels the car, and infact, only actually serves to increase consumption.

It has no performance benifit, at all, even a little bit.

On top of that, it will burn out your airflow sensor within 6 months.

Putting this on a 1.0 corsa is, at best, foolish, to put this on a performance car, such as a GT4, well, i'll let you draw your own conclusions.

The best thing you can do, is send this back to the person you bought it from with a tube of KY jelly, i'm sure he'll get the idea, failing you wanting to throw good money after bad, perhaps you could file it in the BIN, under gulliable.

TBH mate. I`d throw it in the bin. These things simply fool the ECU into thinking it`s colder than it really is and dumps more fuel into the eqaution. All it`s going to do is make your fuel consumption go up. Much better to get a decent panel filter and a de-cat exhaust.

**Edit** Fidgits beat me to it.

Ok cheers guys i think i only payed 5 quid for it in the end, in the bin it goes then!

i already have a de-cat down pipe fitted althought it has a small fracture in it its not leaking im just gonna run a line of weld across it with the old mig gun.

by chance would either of you know where i could get a cheapish induction kit with the required bracket to fit it to the afm from?

How cheapish doyou want? Probably the best bet although not the cheapest would be a K&N. Try Demon Tweaks or Motorworld for starters. All about the same price.
