Seems odd that there is no Hilux forum on here, they have been around since the 60's and are still being made today. do they not deserve a forum of there own on here? i would of thought so

Moved your thread to here, as this is where HILUX threads should be.

There isnt a HILUX specific area like there is Corolla or Yaris as there are very few Hilux Owners on this forum.

If we get a few thousand then it would warrent it.

And yes we do know the HILUX has been around for donkeys years but there are lots of Toyotas that we dont have specific forums for as there simply isnt the members to keep it active enough and if we did do one for every model it would get out of control.

My Aristo for example doesnt have its own area

ok fair point, but i know 2 of my mates who have hilux's that are not members because you dont have a forum for them, so maybe there is a load of others the same?

TBH if you look at the threads 50% of them are for the Hilux and i have noticed there seem to be a fair few Hilux owners coming on here as the vehicle seems to be becoming more popular.

But IMHO as Leeky stated there is not really enough to warrent it.

As for your friends not joining TOC just because they dont have a section for Hilux's seems a bit silly to me (but each to their own) as there is a fair few people who have a wealth of knowldge on the vehicle

i can assure you if we get enough "Hilux" specific members, a Hilux section will be opened, at the moment the traffic just isnt generated, its getting better, but not enough to warrent a hilux specific area

it wont take a few thousand either....maybe 10-20 regular posters

Hiya,

It is a shame that there is not more specific forums for the likes of the hilux surfs and in my case

particularly the landcruiser as they are almost identical. If they I am wrong could anyone tell me the differences between the landcruiser 2.4 lte prado 1992 model and the surfs? If nothing else but interesting reading it would be nice to see the difference.

many thanks

Chris.

There is a specific UK Surf forum, cant remember their address right now :(

Its a catch 22 situation with new HiLux members on here, there's no specific area so they dont post/join and without this happening the mods wont generate a new section.

HiLux pickups are getting mega popular round here :)

Hi just to let you know I am an Hilux surf owner and I am finding it difficult to get any feed back but it did not stop me from joining the TOC as I am sure you are all aware there are Plenty Surfs to go around so DON'T be greedy. It will take time and patience so don't give up too soon DUDE.

SURFERS DO IT THE DIRT!!!!!!!!!

Because hilux's are very diffrent to your standard car there is a lot more intrest with websites dedicated to them.

Like www.hiluxsurf.co.uk and www.hpoc.co.uk ( Hilux Pickup Online Communtiy)

The guys at TOC run a great site and forums but to be fair you cant specalise in everything.

Cheers,

Gupster
