Andrew - 271 on a stock car is very impressive  Are you 100% sure a previous owner hasnt done anything to it?

You do find all engines are different, sounds like you got a good one there

Indeed I am I've been over the car with a fine tooth comb and apart from taking the cat out to see if it's been gutted there's not much else to check for. It's all stock toyota parts even down to the exhaust and ECU. Did consider that it might have had aftermarket cams but from my experience they tend to shift the power band up the rev range a fair bit and from the rr print out it look spot on powerband wise, same as other stock cars just higher figures.

Should make for a good base once the modding starts though :D :D

GT4 Booster get yourself a 3" downpipe at the very least from what the people i've talked to have said it makes the single biggest improvement of all the starting mods including uppiing the boost. Spool up much quicker and harder, improves flow out of the turbo etc etc..

WRC can be either JDM or UK supplied, however alot that are advertised as WRC are actually just normal 205's with the raiser blocks which was a opitional extra on the normal cars.

Just get a look under the bonnet if the anti-lag diverter isn't there chances are it's not a WRC.

And don't trust pictures on autotrader, When i was looking for my four there where quite a few that advertised one car with external pictures of it but the engine bay pic was from another car apparent by the different colour wings.

3" Full Exhaust inc 3" Flexi - £300

3" Decat Dowpipe - £100

Blitz Panel Filter - £50

NGK Iridium Plugs - £40

Remove under bonnet sound deadening - £0

Unichip inc dyno time - £400

Blitz Dual Sol Boost Controller - £500

Thor TRL FCD - £60

Fuel Pressure Regulator - £100

Total - £1550

Stock pump/injectors/turbo/pistons etc are good for 360bhp, may be worth using water injection as well on the stock chargecooler. But the cheaper kits are just as good and cost about £50-100

You seem to know a lot about the performance modding... i really dont know the best way to spend £4000. Any suggestions on what route to take? im not really a top speed person.. that doesnt bother me, im after quicker 0-60/100 times.

Thanks

 Ai Karumba, 350bhp for a grand :lol::lol::lol:

Adam before you do anything go gold and wait for your membership card, then buy an aussie downpipe from fensport, a 2c aquamist kit from envy performance and then go to thor and have a link ecu fitted with the boost control module.

As long as your sports exhaust is a sports exhaust then to go on after that it's rebuild time and that's a lot of pennies

the XLEM adds many features that the existing ECU would not suppost like Anti Lag, Launch Control, Flat shift, Shift light and H20 Spray/Injection control.

 Now i see what you mean!

That's why you will need the 2c aquamist kit as the link will run that for you ;)

After having it fitted i went down the road and planted the right foot all i'll say the difference was very scary at first but you soon get used to that :D

thanks for your help ken

£420 is quite a bit for WI as i know you can get kits for less than half that... is it because:

A)Its a Good Kit

B)It Links to ECU

Aquamist, tbh i thought about other kits which were mainly from the US but when i knew the 2c was activated by the ecu plus with there rep then it was no contest.

Thought you might have been, 10% off mapping for goldies :D

When my car was been mapped their was a few complaints from the odd village so the police chucked up a roadblock on the "a" road at the end of the lane, big thanks to prodrive for letting me know :D

Lol ken

Im seriously thinking of getting the 2c WI kit and having the ecu +mapping done at thor. I guess this is what im looking at:

http://www.thor-racing.co.uk/Celica_GT4_ST...T205_Stage1.asp

What difference does the WI make? Does it directly make your car go faster? or does it just allow higher boost? sorry for all the Q's

Thanks

(also, do you have a 3sgte in your avensis? your 'Click here to see the World's most modified Avensis'

link doesnt work)
