Knocking Magnetic Valve?

I have a Yaris 1.0 (2003 summer).

I realized a week ago, that I can hear a knocking noise from the magnetic valve ont he side of the air filter box. This valve is to control the flow back from the active coal filter box behind the engine.

Now when the engine warms up to normal running temp. and running just idle speed I can hear always this noise.

I took back the car to the Toyota service, since it still has guarantee. The staff told me, it is normal. This knocking noise the normal noise of this valve. No problem at all.

There was a test car, they showed me, it was knocking as well.

Then why I couldn’t hear it before in the previous 3 years?

Is there anybody, who can hear this noise? Or really all these cars have it?

Yes I also had a 2003 1.0 model and had the same problem as you are having, I took it back to dealers WEST RIDING TOYOTA, and they replaced the valve under warranty, it makes no difference to the running of the car other than a strange flapping noise as you say, get it back and try another car, dont let them fob you off.
