De-cats going on tomorrow morning ...... will i notice a difference while the rest of the exhaust is still standard ?? anyone any idea ?

Sorry no, but I'm interested in the replies!!! My standard exhaust is in really good nick so I don't want to Shell out a few hundred yet but was thinking of decat-ing it too - please report back with any findings

I put a cat bypass on my old Calibra and I think you can. Its not mahoosive but there is a noticable difference as Im sure others will confirm. example GTE 16V with cat 150bhp without 155bhp and thats quoted by manufacturers.

I had it on a K plate calibra but as that was exempt it was worth it but for post 93 you have to either put it back on for MOT or know someone who can ignore the fact your cats missing!

:D well just picked it up from C&C Exhausts in Hillington - De-cat !

The response seems improved as does low down torque Not exactly a 20bhp increase as some places claim but i think it was worth it - Sounds better too , just a slight meatier note - Burbles on acceleration ! It was £80+vat

Booked in for next Friday for back-box(4'Slash) and down pipe(which is on its last legs).

Cant wait.....

Uck the one i was gonna get was £300 (Backbox only)!! downpipe/de-cat/backbox done - centre pipe end of the month :D

the backbox i had on my civic was full titanium - £449.99 , weighed %$( all , sounded the shiznit and looked incredible .....shame about the car it was on.........1.4 civic
