Metalic Rattle When I Close Drivers Side Door

Hi everyone

I got my new Avensis last week and am running it in and enjoying it. I got home tonight and closed the drivers door to hear a metalic rattle. Had a look underneath towards the back. There is a metalic sheild which is doing the rattling. Any obvious solution or should I just take it back to the dealer when I have time.

Would not harm to at least speak to you dealership, I presume you would have warranty??? B)

Could be the exhaust shield not fixed properly. Any problem with a car under warranty ans straight back to the dealer-don't try and fix yourself.

And don't let this put you off-enjoy the car!

I had the same problem on my 03 D4-D T-Spirit. Took it to the dealer and they put the car up on the ramp and then proceeded to tap the sheild with the handle of a large screwdriver. After a short time several small stones fell out. It was the stones rattling on the top of the sheild that was causing the noise!!! :D
