Tyres For 96 Celica St205? Help!

right, me dad owns a 96 celica gt convertable, but appears to be going through tyres quite quickly (i think its down to crap tyres to be honest).....

he currently has 16inch monos all round, with Pirelli 205/50/ZR16s.......

are these the correct tyres sizes for the celica??? (do celicas have 16s as standard?? (obviously not momos tho)).....

need some help peeps........

also, what make tyres do you recommend??

its not driven hard, no 1/4s or track days.....

so something cheap-ish but good performance tyre that doesnt ware to quickly....

Yep thats the right size. Expensive tyres wont make much difference if the steering geometry is all to buggery. Firs job would be to get that all checked if he hasn`t already..
