Gt4 St205 Help.

Hi guy's my gt4 has a really bad knock from the back when i thrash it an change gear, also you can hear the gears in the gearbox working, all sounds weird could this be the rear diff mount??

get the car crusing with an apropriate gear to keep the revs high >3000rpm. Give it some beans. then while accelerating hard come right of the throttle. If you hear a knock from the back in either suituation then it's the rear diff mount.

As for the noisey gearbox, when was the oil changed last?? what sort of noise, wurring or grinding?? how many miles has the car done???

Well I would start with replacing the gearbox oil with something decent like Silkolene Silktran Syn 5.

Whatever oil you use it needs to be a API GL5 grade oil.

New oil tends to make them quiteier and a bit smoother. If it shifting ok and not skipping out of gear or make nasty griding noises, then it's probably just needs the oil change.
