Corolla T Sport, Breaking Problems

Hi

Just looking for some info regarding my corolla t sport, its a 04 model.

I was sitting at a junction a few weeks agow with my fool on the break. Suddenly the pedal gave way and didn't give resistance until another few inches of pressure was applied.

Ever since then the breaking performance has been poor, with more foot pressure required to stop the car.

I've dropped it into my local dealer and they say that nothing is wrong. But i'm not confident of there competence levels.

Does anybody have any idea?

I've checked the servo to see if there is any hoses dropped off, also i picked up a recall from the aa website that says over 7000 cars have ben recalled due to a faulty machining process of the master cylinder that can cause air to be drawn into the breaking system which will result in poor breaking performance.

I welcome any suggestions.

Cheers

Danny

I did initially think you had a leak in the hydraulic system, but I think your servo might have gone? would check that.

also its possible you could have air in the system. in which case bleeding would fix it

As far as I know everyone's TS brake pedal 'gives way' as you call it when you're stopped at traffic lights for example and if you look through previous posts someone explained why! It's not a fault or problem...
