Hi all, I have been lurking around the forum for the last few months.Excellent information for a new Toyota owner like myself.

I own a Rav4 D4D GX 5 door on an 03 plate. Owned from new by my father, i have just bought this low miles car (14000) from him for my wife.

I have a couple of questions you might be able to help me with.

1/ The car is three years old at the end of April. Is it worth taking out an extended warranty with Toyota.

2/ Do any of you guys have any idea of cost regarding this extended warranty. I have looked at independant warrantys costing around the £350 mark. Is it worth the money or are the cars so ultra reliable i can get away with no warranty.

I wouldn't bother with the 'Aftermarket' Warranties,they usually aren't worth the Paper they are written on. If you can get the extended Toyota one at a decent price I'd go for that but on the whole Toyotas are the worlds most reliable Cars ;)
