im just about to mount a pro comp 3" lift kit on my mk3 hilux and it will be on 31x10.5x15's. i just wanted to know was there anything i needed to consider changing on the vehicle to compensate for this lift, is an extended brake hose kit a must? wheel spacers? etc etc....

any tips would be much appreciated.

Its a pretty common mod in Austarlia and it dosnt cause too many problems. The only thing I would do is be prepared to change the uni joints as the increased angle will make old ones noisy.

The brake lines will be borderline so wait and see.You can test the length once the susspension is on.

The 31 will not need spacers with that lift. You could probaly get 33s under there without too much trouble, not sure if they would rub on a turn though.

I think my ex girlfriend was running 31 with no lift and no problems with rub

You may need to adjust the drag links and get a wheel alignment after the lift is on

thanx for that, luckily enough i have just replaced the UJ's on it already as they were pretty worn to begin with. ill check the brake hoses too when fitting think they might be ok.ill post a pick of pickup when its finished. anyone with any pickups modified, would love to see em on the site.
