Corolla Gli 93, Intermittent Wiper Delay

Folks, Does anyone know how to change the intermittent wiper delay period from the standard 3sec to (say) 6sec. (I expect there is a delay selection component somewhere, and that it is diffucult to change.) The circuit diagrams in the Haynes manual are of little help on this one. Cheers Neil
