Avensisi T3s Tyres

Hi Folks,

Can anyone advise me on the best tyres for the Avensis T3s 1.8 VVTi manual current mileage 16K. My car has recently been serviced at the Toyota dealer they reported 4 tyres are getting low 2-3mm inner & outer edges, 4mm middle, which I would agree with. I do not feel that there is an alignment problem and as far as I can tell the pressures were ok. my average fuel consumption is 40.8 mpg.

My previous car was an Avensis CDX 1.8 and I managed to get 64K miles from the front tyres and when I sold the car at 82K miles there was 2-3 mm left on the orignal rear tyres. I do realise that these tyres are different in size and construction to my old Avensis.

My driving habbits have not changed, but I feel that I won't get the same tyre life with this new model,

The tyres that are fitted from standard are 205/55/R16 91V Dunlop SP Sport 3000, should I try another make such as Michelin Energy?????

Cheers

Mine is 1.8VVTi (2005) and has (put by Toyota) Bridgestone Turanza ER30. My previous car was WV Golf with exactely the same kind of tyres. On my Avensis I've done 15.000 km and no sign of wear. I've sold my Golf with 75.000 with original tyres (also Bridgestone Turanza ER30 205/55 - 16). They needed to be changed but still had a lot of deepnes.

If I were you I would go for these. They are quite, stick good on the road on sun or rain...

If you're able to put a little bit more money you can go for ER300 instead of ER30. One tyre specialist told me that Bridgestone make ER300 now and that those are better then ER30, just little bit more expensive.

I have a T3x with Michelin premicy tyres, the car has done 18,000 miles with an even 4mm tread, however the tyre compound appears to produce excessive road noise
