Cant Get Through A New Mot :(

I have a 2litre 94 GT import which I bought 11months ago and today I took it for it's first mot under my ownership.

It passed on everything except the emissions test. The CO2 target is 0.3 but my car was produce around 4.5, we tested the lambado sensor (i think thata how you spell it) and found it was faulty so replaced it. This got the CO2 emissions down to 1.5 but we cant get it any lower. We think it may be the cat but looking at the MOT diagnostics guide the cat appears to be ok. At the moment we are scrathing our heads and I dont want to replace the cat if I dont need to as this will be fairly exspensive.

Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks

change the plugs , air filter ,oil and filter . re set the ecu , give it a good thrashing before turning up for the pre test.

it may be the lambda sensor you bought also , is it wired up properly ??

cataclean is also reported to work

Changed the plugs and filters around 2months ago, maybe i should change the filters again?

Checked the new lambada sensor it seems to be working fine.

I gave it a good thrashing today but it made no real difference.

I will try reseting the ecu and a catclean.

thanks for your suggestions
