Celica Needs Clutch - Know A Good Garage.?

Hiya,

I have a 1994 Celica GT which I purchased at Xmas.. It's really fab - but the clutch has started to slip... I was wondering if any members know of a decent reliable garage to replace it.. I am based in Luton so Herts / Beds area is ideal - but I work in London and would be open to using somewhere in west london area as well. Would appreciate any recommendations.. Also is it advisable for me to supply the clutch - use a original Toyota one etc.. Any idea how much it might cost - a garage in harrow quoted me £350 plus VAT.. Is that about right - I was thinking it might be more..

Warren..

Was just looking at a website reccomended on another post, WWW.tcbparts.co.uk for a new clutch is about £90 including vat, don't know how much to fit it though.

£350 (inc. VAT) would sound pretty spot on, given my experience with other cars.

However, I'm not sure exactly how complex a job it is to fit - it is normal that the vast majority of the cost is labour charge though.

I paid £450 for a new clutch plus fitting, also needed the fly wheel skimmed to for another £90.

If you fancy a trip up to Loughborough, buy the parts yourself ,I;ll do it for a reasonable prive.
