Have a look at this topic:

http://toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.p...28936&hl=fascia

And the How-tos at the top.

I haven't tried it myself, I'm thinking of putting my head unit in the space where my CD player was for a while until my bank balance recovers from the HU & speaker purchase!

By the way, the Toyota to ISO lead is available on eBay for £2.50 instead of the £12 Halfords charge.

(I've ordered one but haven't tried it so don't blame me if it's wrong!)

If you get the facia from toyota you need a completely different part to the one quoted above! Its a rav4 pocket thingie, but you do need the adapter to wire it in!

hmmm dont think i made much sense

You'd need the wiring adapter whichever way you fit it though, right?

And then the Toyota Fascia surround (from Toyota) and the Rav4 Din unit bit (from Halfords or online)?:wacko: :!Removed!:

By the way - does anyone have a pic of a headunit fitted in a cointray? I can't find any when searching and want to check how shoddy it looks. My dash has a moulded in tape deck and a fitted CD Player (no coin tray), I'm hoping I can get away with putting my HU where the CD player is...

yes, you can get a facia from the states, from a car called a toyota echo, they sell them on eBay check link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...RK%3AMEWA%3AVRI

another part you will need is a single din converter eBay link http://cgi.ebay.com/Toyota-00-05-Car-Radio...6QQcmdZViewItem

total price including post is about £50 for both items, but you get a professional job and any single or double din sterio you like, cheer jim g
