93 Tt Iv Front Knocking Noise

When going over speed bumps or uneven surface a knocking can be heard from the front end. Has anybody had this problem and if so what was required to fix this.

Check your front sub-frame bolts mate, there have been a few reports over the years of these loosening, and consequently you get a knocking sound........ ;)

More of a creaking with subframe bolts loose. Clonking could be a shock gone - do you have yellow or black shocks?

Could be all of the above (hopefully not at the same time) Best thing to do is get the car on a ramp or stands and get under it with a pry bar checking for anything loose or worn, bushings, bolts etc. if you have fluid weeping out of the shocks theres a good chance it is that.
