Just bought a 1991 J plated Celica 2 litre gti. The one with pop up headlights. Its 1991 original uk car in white. Which generation do I have?

Good point :P but the Gen 6 is quicker, looks better IMO and has the stronger engine :D

Also gotta wait until August when im 21 for insurance, but as soon as that happens, roll on the 4 :D

No, not even sat in one yet! Not seen one either, seem quite rare round 'my way'

Got to admit,

I love the Gen 5,

I love the Gen 6,

In fact i pretty much like all gens, including the old skool ones.

But to be truthful, i just love the overall look of the Gen 6, the sweeping curves of the bodywork, the four headlights (Even tho the Gen 5's (and am i right in thinking the gen 4 aswell ST162 & 165???) the pop up headlights are seriuosly the definition of cool) etc.

All the coupes toyota built i like, The Paseo, The MR2, The Supra and the mighty Celica, i'm a coupe man through and through.

All i will say, enjoy the car mate, and trust me you will enjoy driving it!!, if your anything like me you'll just want to drive it as much as you can, when you can.

Yep. At the end of the day the gen6 has the superior power and driveability , Looks are a matter of taste. Go for it and enjoy it.

the insurance isnt THAT bad actually, not when i consider what my Rolla cost me to insure this year
