Hi guys/gals

i am desperatley seeking a yaris t sport! i've seen one on flea-bay it looks okay but the steering wheel has got a lot of wear, a tell tale sign of high milage.

the car

Is this normal for t-sports with this milage?

Or maybe the owner's skin is wet and dry paper?

your advice would be great!!

cheers

I dont think that is normal at all!!

no offence to anyone if thats their car but it looks like a complete dog - no shine of it at all obviously hasnt been looked after. And why is the toyota Badge missing off the bonnet?.. says its never been modified

If your after a yaris t sport id take a look at Lee's Red one its on eBay i think im sure he will post the link up!

my car is currently on 63k miles and the wheels has some wear to it but not that much. its has got some where on the stitchin between the black and the silver leather but has been like that since i got it with 34k miles on it. the silver has rubbed off but u can only tell in certain lights but nothin that bad. even clarky's looks good and i think hes on somethin like 106k now

mines on 64k and agagin, my stering wheel looks nothing like that, as far as im aware clarky , who has over 100k on his now has also no issues with his stering wheel

and again the car has been modified, it has been debadged front and rear - something to bare in mind the front Badge is connected via two holes on the bonnet, ull want to check if these are still there or if the owner had them filled in

On our T-Sport which has done 57,000 there may be a tiny bit of wear but nothing like that. It could just be that a previous owner used it to go to and from work with dirty hands or something? you never know!

You may have a point there. Either very acidic sweat (sorry, a bit gross, I know) or perhaps a hand cleaning product like Swarfega?

Nah... not normal. Mine's same as T-sport but different colour and iv got no visible wear at all at 40k miles... just smoothed out on the stitch lines. The gear knob is worn a bit, but nothing like that!

It'd put me off buying it... as would the de-badging when description says otherwise and the wheels, which I know can be dodgy, but a good clean every couple of weeks and some care to them would surely stop that? Mine havn't pitted at all!
