Getting A T-sport, Questions

After a year of having my clio its time for something a bit quicker, was originally going for a 1.6 16v clio but had a look at the yaris on the off chance and fell in love with it so t-sport here I come. Anyway i've got a few questions that i've searched for but can't find a direct answer so I thought i'd ask.

1. ICE wise i've got an alpine 9855r in my clio and would like to put it in the yaris so obviously i'll need from din dash section from toyota and the double din adapter as well as the wiring adapter. From what i've read thats all I need yes?

2. Where can I get the door speaker adapters from, had a quick look round the net and haven't come up with anything?

The dash Speakers are a direct fit yes?, how hard are they to replace does the dash have to come off ?

3. Are there any holes in the bulkhead already there that I can run my amp power cable through if I decide to put my amps in the yaris ? I'm using 4 gauge.

4. Servicing, i'm a strictly DIY man don't trust any garages and why pay someone stupid money when I can do it myself easily. How much are consumables (oil filters, etc) are they best to get from toyota or are 3rd party ones fine ?

5. As far as I know theres no haynes manual avaliable that covers the t-sport as well?

6. Do they have any major things that go wrong with them or things I should keep my eye out for ?

Bit of a mega post but if anyone can answer any of the questions I will be very grateful.

To the best of my knowledge YES

2. Where can I get the door speaker adapters from, had a quick look round the net and haven't come up with anything?

NOT SURE

3. Are there any holes in the bulkhead already there that I can run my amp power cable through if I decide to put my amps in the yaris ? I'm using 4 gauge.

YES

4. Servicing, i'm a strictly DIY man don't trust any garages and why pay someone stupid money when I can do it myself easily. How much are consumables (oil filters, etc) are they best to get from toyota or are 3rd party ones fine ?

Not sure what that would do to your warranty, everything for that like that is pretty cheap, check envyperformance.com for uprated servicing parts

5. As far as I know theres no haynes manual avaliable that covers the t-sport as well?

Nope, just the standard Yaris, but there is a few guides in the how too section and also some very exerienced people about here to offer advice

6. Do they have any major things that go wrong with them or things I should keep my eye out for ?

Just generally make sure its been looked after and drives tight.

Bit of a mega post but if anyone can answer any of the questions I will be very grateful.

Wow, thanks for answering almost all of the questions, warrenty won't be an issue because it probably won't have one I intend to get around an 02/03 plate because I prefer the look of the phase 1 so it won't have any warrently left on it.

Does anyone know about the speaker adapters?

All T-Sports came with a cat 1 alarm did they not ?

Theres a wealth of info mate most things have been covered, there a neat little thing...its called search. But

1)Double din req and fascia - expensive

2)Some are, but you can make your own templates outta mdf

3)Theres a few places around the car, you can do that

4)Services are very resonable if you put oil in etc beforehand tell them and they dont charge you, 20k serivce was £91

5)Think your right only covers non t sport

6)Nothing really...its a toyota! :) as long as it serviced

Not biased 1.6 is !Removed!, clio sport is good

Nah just stay away from french cars, my clio was brand new and had the build quality of a piece of plastosene. Once you have jap you never go back

you must be a wise man if you prefer the look of the phase 1 !!!!

Phase 2s look girly with those teardrop lights :P, would like the steering radio controls though gonna miss them from the clio.

1)Double din req and fascia - expensive

Going off this guide for the fascia it shouldn't cost me more than about £50 for the dash part and the double din adapter, which to me isn't that expensive and its worth it because it looks rough as owt to use the coin tray imo, just looks so much better.

I'll still defend the clio to the hilt even though I won't have one anymore, hasn't given me any trouble touch wood and hopefully it won't until the day I hand the keys over mine doesn't rattle at all either which I know is an unheard of rarity.

And I would say the 1.6 was far from !Removed! it just didn't have the wow factor the t-sport had and it just put a stupid smile all over my face, the 1.6 was the same old clio but just faster. Will probably miss all the gadgets i've got now but i'm sure i'll learn to manage with climate and cruise control.

Unfortunately i'll probably return to french cars as some point because i've made a promise to myself to own a clio 172/182 at some point, but thats for the future.
