Tailgate Struts

Can anyone tell me if there are special tailgate struts for a celica blue with a spoiler. I have just had the struts replaced on my 05 celica but the tailgate keeps falling down. The dealer told me it looked a lot better to him!!! But I would like a boot lid that stays up for more than half a second. Am now now waiting for a second pair which he assures me will be just the same as the ones he has already fited!

hello, welcome first of all!

On the struts, there should be a part number, and at the endit sould say SP. This menas that its a stronger strut for the extra weigh of a spoiler.

if it doesnt say SP, then its a non-spoiler one so have words with the dealer!

Checked the part number looks like they're the right ones. Dealer has some more in to try so i'll have to keep my fingers crossed that they work, or start wearing my motorbike helmet every time I use the boot!

haha, yeah it hurts walking int othe boot. To be honest i think that the struts shoud be more powerful. Mine are a bit !Removed! atm :(
