Strange Noise

hello all

well since i decided i was selling the celica it's been a pain in the a**e like it don't want me to sell it lol

anyway i have a knocking noise from front N/S i think it could be a ball joint i hope

the other problem is the car when started from cold there is a light frequent knocking noise. i have checked for loose stuff and oil etc but can't locate anything a miss the noise disapears after driving 100yds up the road.

if any of you chaps could help it would be much appreciated

I think the light slight knocking noise on start up is a toyota thing , my st2o2 and my mates Corolla both have it if the cars cold . At first i was a bit worried but it seems most people have this and the car runs perfect so.....

cheers mate thats a relief had this vision the engine had gone kaput or somthing.

sorry about this another niggle when you brake hard there seems to loads of vibrations and gratting from all the wheels i have had cars before with ABS and had a buzzing noise when hard braking but never heavy vibrations or gratting.

i had a look today and pads at front are nearly new discs don't seems that old same with the rear? anyway found the knocking it is coming from a bracket on the exhaust so solved that now i have a misfire only happens when accelerating from junctions only for a few seconds and it does it through 2nd 3rd as well checked the usual plugs leads.

'rant' this damn car if anything else goes wrong with it i'll :censor: crush it and send to scrap yard :ffs: :censor: thing 'rant over'
