Foggy Replacment?

Hi all,

As the title says really!

I have some philips blue vision fog lights to swap out. Done all the other lights but found it tricky to get to the fog light bulbs out. Do I just jack up the front and then it's all straightforward to get to them from underneath the car or is there a trick to repalcing them without doing that?

By the way the new sidelight/low beam/highbeam philips blue visions kick A*ss! Can see so much more at night with the new bulbs.

the bulb is in a holder at the rear of the fog light.

Is it a real good difference between the old bulbs n new ones ?

I just swapped my rear bulbs for new halfrauds ones and the difference was impressive , i tinted part of my rear clusters black and the new bulbs shine through really well .

Wonder if i should change my headlight bulbs too......

Tis easy...

... Take of the front wheels, take out the inner wheel arches, remove all the trim under the engine, undo and remove the front bumper, release 10mm bolt holding in fogs - Change Bulb in kitchen over a cup of tea!

Reverse the above to refit :)

Fu*k me! don't know what your defination of easy is, but it ain't the same as mine. That sounds like over an hours work to me. Thought it would be easier than that if the car was jacked up. Will take a look this weekend. Cheers for the replies.

crismillencolin - Yeah they are very good, but not quite the same colour light is I expected (was a bit gutted they were not blue to start with). My brother got the blue Halfrauds ones and they are very blue in the light they give off and in my humble oppinion makes seeing in the dark harder because of the colour. The Philips ones really are very close to daylight and glow a bright white now rather than the standard yellow tint, like them alot! A marked improvement on the old ones.

Hope you realised I was joking.

If you have small hands you might get in through the centre grille, otherwise you should be able to undo a couple of trims screws from the bottom of the bumper and reach up.

Either way, have fun
